Symphony Sponsors the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre’s 2019–2020 Season

Symphony Financial Planning is proud to announce its support for the full season of the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre.

The post-modern, contemporary dance company has four performances planned for its 35th season. Their fall concert, Right Here, Right Now, will open Sunday, November 3, and run the following Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9. Featuring choral group DCC3, the concert is meant as a respite from the noise of current events with works that honor unity and hope.

Next will be Something for the Holidays on Saturday, December 7. This performance is a collaborative performance with the dance theater’s new sister company, the Light Ballet company, in addition to guest dancers from the Dance Workshop.

In February 2020, the dance theater will collaborate once again—this time with Davis-area choreographers, visual artists, musicians, and poets for the Davis Dance Project. The audience will enjoy seven performance pieces created from seven themes chosen by the community. Performance dates are set for Friday, February 28, and Saturday, February 29.

The Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre will hold its final performance of the season in April with a spring concert, Is There an App for That? The performance will both thoughtfully and humorously explore the way that technology is helping and hindering our evolution as individuals and as a species. Performance dates are Sunday, April 19; Friday, April 24; and Saturday, April 25.

This is the second time that Symphony Financial Planning has sponsored the dance theater’s season. The sponsorship is part of the Davis financial advisory firm’s ongoing commitment to the local arts scene.

“I’m honored to once again support the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre,” said Paul Meyerhoff, Symphony Financial Planning’s founder and president. “They provide an outlet for many talented dance artists and enrich the life of our community. ”

All performances will be held at the Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop Studio Theater, 2720 Del Rio Place, in Davis.
