DAVIS, California—Symphony Financial Planning is pleased to announce that it is supporting the Davis Chorale with a $1,000 sponsorship.
The Davis financial advisory firm regularly supports local arts and community organizations. Previous sponsorships include events by the Davis Arts Center, Davis Parent Nursery School, Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre, and Korematsu Elementary School PTO.
“We want to do our part for a thriving Davis,” said Symphony President Paul Meyerhoff, Ph.D., CFP®. “Arts organizations have a rich array of talent and creativity. We are glad to provide financial support that can help connect that talent and creativity to the community.”
According to its website, the Davis Chorale is dedicated to elevating the spirit through music and enhancing the lives of the community, audience, and chorale members. It is an auditioned ensemble of about 70 singers from Davis, Woodland, Sacramento, and the surrounding areas.
“The chorale’s varied repertoire ranges from Renaissance a cappella works to orchestral works with chorus by modern composers, such as Eric Whitacre,” the website states.
A nonprofit organization, the chorale is funded by donations, dues, and fundraisers. Sponsorships such as Symphony’s help purchase high-quality scores to learn their music, hire professional musicians to play at performances, work with the chorale’s accompanist, and rent rehearsal and performance space.
“As a local nonprofit, the organization is sustained by the community,” Meyerhoff said. “Whether people buy a ticket for the next show or donate money, they’re helping our community thrive. I’m grateful that my team at Symphony gets it and is fully behind our arts sponsorships.”
The Davis Chorale’s next performance is George Frideric Handel’s Messiah at 3 p.m. April 19 at Davis High School’s Brunelle Hall. For information, visit the Davis Chorale’s website at https://davischorale.org/.
