Paul Meyerhoff has a passion for helping clients bring their finances and life goals into harmony. That’s why he has dedicated two decades to providing excellence in financial planning and investment management, and why he founded Symphony Financial Planning in 2006. As Founder and President of the fee-only firm, he leads a team committed to providing holistic financial planning through openness, transparency, and personal, caring service.
Paul’s background has given him both the analytical skills and compassion essential to his mission to help clients make the most of their finances. His multiple degrees—B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in biological sciences—honed his research skills and ability to think independently. His life experiences, including his father’s debilitating illness, left him with a keen appreciation for planning well financially and a desire to help others do just that.
In 1996, Paul joined a national financial services firm—an experience that gave him not only an insider’s view of the industry but the realization that to better serve clients’ interests, he needed to break away from product-driven sales approaches. That’s when he turned his focus toward independent financial planning and investment management. Today he puts all of his experiences—education, life, and career—in service to the clients who come to Symphony Financial Planning for the professional advice and collaborative relationships that the firm is known for.
Paul and his wife, Debra, have been Davis residents for nearly 30 years, and Paul is committed to the community. He leverages the firm’s standing in the area to provide sponsorships, contributions, and volunteerism for a wide range of community and arts organizations. When he’s not in Davis proper, you can generally find him enjoying time with his family, playing in the mountains, or out on the “pitch” refereeing soccer games.
