DAVIS, California—October 9, 2016—Symphony Financial Planning announced today that it will host Beauty in Nature, an exhibition of nature-inspired art pieces, as part of the 2nd Friday ArtAbout Activities in downtown Davis.

Davis Downtown holds the 2nd Friday ArtAbout series each month. The self-guided art walk includes art receptions and opportunities to talk with artists. Symphony Financial Planning regularly participates in the series as part of its commitment to supporting local artists, said Paul Meyerhoff, Symphony Financial Planning’s founder.

Meyerhoff added that he is especially excited about hosting Beauty in Nature.

“I love art that depicts the natural world, and the theme of this show—how nature influences individual artists—is especially intriguing,” he said.

The group show will feature the works of five artists: Omar Armendariz (line work), Eleanor Calkin (collage), Brett Chulada (photography), Monica Jurik (science illustrations) and Rich Williams (photography).

The artists will attend the opening reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13. The reception will also feature refreshments and the Derek Washington Band playing a mix of blues, jazz and rock ’n’ roll.

Beauty in Nature can also be viewed during the firm’s regular business hours through Dec. 15.
